Business Developer - Commercial Infrastructure Sales

Role Description This position is part of the Business Development Team focused on the Commercial market, specifically for Infrastructure as it relates to structured cabling and fiber infrastructure. Our growing Business Development Team is looking for someone who will actively prospect and develop opportunities in the Maryland and Northern Virginia markets. This role includes performing site surveys, quote generation and developing a thorough understanding of Skylinersquos infrastructure service offerings. Core Responsibilities Build trusting and long lasting relationships Lead the strategic planning for each account Partner with assigned Account Manager to build, maintain and optimize customer relationships Support and serve client needs and requirements Actively prospect and develop structured cabling and fiber infrastructure opportunities Work with Skyline customers to resolve problems regarding structured cabling and fiber infrastructure Work with the Security Infrastructure Director to identify the appropriate resources for upcoming opportunities Seek new opportunities by developing relationships with the vendor community Develop prime, sub and partnership opportunities Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements Sales Background 5-10 years experience in ISPOSP operations andor Sales Technical sales experience Solid understanding of structured cabling and fiber infrastructure Client relationship management IT Background Technical Requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills Organizational Effectiveness Presentation Development Email- Microsoft Office Suite Ability to prioritize, plan and schedule multiple workflows for self and others
