I am working exclusively with my client to help recruit an experienced Telecoms / Hosted Telephony Business Development Manager to join an exciting chapter of expansion within this well established, national telecoms company.

Role and Responsibilities

The role is a 100% new 'mobile sales' business role, focused on winning new logo 'VoIP/connectivity orders.

Key Objectives

* Achieve monthly volume (connections) target

* Achieve monthly value monthly targets (GP)

* Proactively work closely with Mobile BDM team and Account Management team to identify additional opportunities

* Attend a minimum of 15-20 (1st) new business appointments per month

* Self-Generate a minimum of 10 new appointments per month

* Develop a sustainable pipeline of 'winnable' opportunities

* Develop strategic understanding of each opportunity, including, size, turnover, org chart, key stakeholders, objectives, decision making process

* Develop granular knowledge on NTA, Wildix, 8x8 and Gamma platforms

* Manage and set clear expectations to customers at all times (documented)

* Follow company paperwork/process guidelines

* Manage profitability in line with company guidelines

* Provide accurate forecasting

* Ensure company CRM is kept up to date at all time - close date, size of opportunity, sales cycle etc.

* Gain full understanding of competitive landscape

* Function as an effective team member

* Apply honesty, initiative, flexibility, and confidentiality

* Maintain a positive work atmosphere and culture

* My compliance to be up to date with all policies, knowledge assessments and e learn requests

Environment

* The role is a home-based role, however there will be a regular requirement to attend customer meetings off site and to visit regional offices

Experience Required

* A minimum of 2 years working within telecoms environment

* Proven track record of performing to targets

* Demonstrate ability to self-generate opportunities

* Demonstrate ability to work in a team and with a virtual regional team

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Commercial Acumen

* Excellent sales skills
