We have multiple opportunities available within Lockheed Martin Space for experienced Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) Engineering professionals in a variety of locations and at all levels of experience.

Candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Standard Job Description:

Responsible for autonomy hardware and software system integration and testing including verification and validation. Translates customer requirements into product and systems specifications while addressing technical, schedule, and cost considerations; Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards for autonomous systems; Determines sensing hardware components; Recommends and selects appropriate control systems; Integrates and optimizes the autonomous compute and sensing hardware and software; Solves hardware/software interface problems; Develops plan(s) to integrate autonomous functionality into product(s) and platform(s) and other system(s); Develops test plans for validation and verification and procedures for test and evaluation requirements in collaboration with designers and developers; Performs integration testing and coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities for autonomous programs; Documents and conducts analysis of test results and recommends fixes to software, hardware components, subsystems and systems; Interfaces with other teams involved the development lifecycle for perception

Common Responsibilities pending Skill Area:

Leverage your experience in one or more of the following:

* AI/ML domain programming languages (e.g. Python, C++, Java, GO, MatLab)
* Developing and deploying AI/ML models, and a knowledge of machine learning frameworks and deep learning toolsets (e.g. SciKit-learn, TensorFlow PyTorch, Caffe, Keras)
* Machine Learning frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow, MxNet, Caffe, etc.)
* DevSecOps, Embedded Security/Cloud Security/Big Data/Data Analytics/AWS/Data Scientists/Machine learning

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
* US Citizenship along with an active DOD clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance
* Familiarity with one or more of the AI disciplines (e.g. Natural Language Processing, Anomaly Detection, Markov Chain and Monte Carlo (MCMC) Methods, Machine Learning, Predictive Modeling, Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis Testing)
* Knowledge of classical AI techniques & ability to implement algorithms into software to train systems to recognize patterns and perform specific functions
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex design information, technical decision, and issues to both highly technical and non-technical peers

DESIRED SKILLS

* Familiarity with high-performance computing, network/messaging (UDP, ZeroMQ, RESTful API, etc.), databases (SQL, MongoDB, etc.), signal processing & domain expertise
* Experience with Python and multiple libraries (NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit, Pandas, etc.)
* Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jira, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
* Strong working knowledge of statistical concepts such as point estimation, probability distributions, hypothesis tests, and how they can be applied
* Ability to implement algorithms into software to train systems to recognize patterns and perform specific functions
* Demonstrated proficiency in designing efficient algorithms and performing analysis with a numerical scripting language such as Python, R or MATLAB (preferably in Python)
* Experience developing applications on Linux

Basic Qualifications
