The successful candidate will accelerate innovate by developing and refining strategy, directing major activities and programs, and representing Ardent and the government within the broader AIML community. POSITION SUMMARY This position will lead the formulation and execution of an ambitious research agenda that delivers key capabilities to our customers and markets. In collaboration with senior leaders, heshe will refine and expand our strategy in AIML that supports our markets. The successful candidate will play a principal key role in pursuing, capturing, and executing major new contract RD. They will provide AIML thought leadership within Ardent, to our customers, and throughout the broader ML community. Job Responsibilities As a Machine Learning Engineer Lead, you'll play a key role in establishing deep learning and directly shape how different forms of artificial intelligence solution for our clients. We are seeking to grow our team with brilliant and diverse contributors with technical ability. We are looking for machine learning experts that want to be part of a team that discovers new solutions. This is a hands-on position where you will be empowered to be creative, ambitious, and bold to solve novel RD problems. Strong experience developing training data, metrics, and tools to improve model performance based on field data and product input. Experience with TF2 and Keras or other ML frameworks, distributed training, and cloud infrastructure. Design, develop and implement analytical solutions using a variety of commercial and open-source tools (common tools include Python, R, TensorFlow) Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques and deep learning models Proficient in Python and familiarity with other systems languages (e.g., CC++) Experience with classical signal processing techniques Experience with GCS, TPUs, Pandas, visualization tools, and map-reduce frameworks like Spark LeadDevelop AI, ML, and Analytics (Descriptive, Prescriptive, and Predictive) solutions in Opensource and Cloud-based As-a-Service delivery model Lead Support the team in the definition and development of full-scale AI, ML, and analytics initiatives Leverage behavior-driven development (BDD) and test-driven development (TDD) approaches Effectively explain technical concepts at all levels in the organization, including senior managersstakeholders Required Qualifications Master's or Ph.D. degree in science, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a similar field Senior program lead with 7+ years of hands-on program management experience in a complex and dynamic environment 10+ years of professional experience. Strong quantitative skills including specific expertise with Statistical Inference, Generalized Linear Models, Markov Decision Processes Experience in the wide application of principles, theories, concepts and techniques in modern programming languages such as C++, Python, Java, Hadoop map-reduce, R, Ruby, SAS, Artificial Intelligence Techniques and concepts Extensive knowledge of the applicable industry andor academic practices and standards in Software design development and Computer science Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications The ability to obtain a TSSCI clearance is strongly preferred. Experience as a government Program Manager in a relevant RD organization that supports AIML research.
