AI Model Developer

VOLT is seeking candidates for an "AI Model Developer" position for our client in Englewood, CO. This is a contingent role of about 9 months.

The candidate in this role will work closely with the AI Model Manager, the AI Analyst, and the entire AI Model Team to ensure successful implementation of the Asset Monitoring product.

Remote tagging is crucial for a viable product and the Remote Tagger will be working with instrument power data drawn from customer instrument assets that have been fitted with clients' Power Monitor devices.

The goal of working with this data is to develop AI (artificial intelligence) models that report and predict the "Run Time" and "Run Count" of customer assets in real time.


  • Follow customer success best practices to seamlessly deploy asset monitors
  • Monitoring the status of connected assets
  • Understands what utilization is and what it looks like for assets being modeled. This may include talking with the user and/or reviewing instrument log files
  • Tag activities in customer data to develop a model for each new customer asset and provide these to the AI Analyst for AI training
  • Review and approve model predictions before releasing the model to the customer
  • Document the developed "Golden Tag Set" to be applied to future assets
  • Communicate task status and progress with the AI Model Manager
  • Work collaboratively and remotely with AI Model Team to develop best practices for modeling and model management
  • Act as Tier 2 support for modeling questions
  • Proactive model maintenance and scheduled re-trainability


  • Meet client approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain site access, unless prohibited by law.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher recommended
  • Prior experience working on/with a customer success team recommended
  • Prior experience with and knowledge of laboratory instrumentation recommended
  • Interest in cutting edge technology such as AI
  • Detail oriented, ensuring data quality
  • Ability to learn new web-based tools
  • Ability to travel for training or occasional team meetings
  • Willingness to adjust schedule outside of local business hours to accommodate other time zones
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Requires general proficiency with tools, systems and procedures to accomplish job.
