You'll collaborate and work across a range of dynamic teams of Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Applied Research Scientists to ship next-generation interactions to millions of Apple device users.Key QualificationsIn-depth development expertise in C++, Objective-C, Swift, and Xcode, and client-server software stackExcellent grasp of data structures and algorithms (time and space complexity analysis, optimization, etc.)Strong object-oriented programming and design skills (at both the systems level and application level)Passion for building demonstrable prototypes, and turning them into production quality designs/implementations (supported with the efficient data collection and data processing tools/pipelines required to power ML tasks)DescriptionThe Machine Intelligence Neural Design (MIND) Team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who possesses an outstanding combination of strong programming skills and a creative, user-focused mentality. You'll use start-of-the art efficient ML to build on-device software capabilities for user-device interaction. You should be at home in fast-paced environments with rapidly-evolving priorities and technology stacks. A thirst for crafting new technology with a user-first mentality is a must. Specifically You'll Focus On: - Developing software frameworks for multi-sensor interaction- Architecting systems for consuming contextual signals from the environment- Collaborating with XF teams to integrate and co-design signals that capitalize on Apple's inherent advantage of vertically integrated hardware, software, and state-of-the-art ML- Collaborate with diverse teams across Apple to gain a deep understanding of context-driven user interactions- Develop systems that are highly reliable and scalable, yet refreshingly easy to support and maintain - Actively contribute to product direction by giving feedback, surfacing current issues, and discussing potential problemsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science; or equivalent experienceAdditional Requirements- Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to collaborate seamlessly with partner teams- Outstanding problem solving and critical thinking skills- Ability to keep the big picture in mind- A passion for learning and applying Machine Learning on the job- A drive to build phenomenal products and experiences for Apple users
