Through our dedication to our mission, our AI-enabled systems are changing the way militaries operate and protect their forces, the way first responders fight fires, and how researchers explore the far reaches of space and the ocean's depths.The Enterprise Operations Artificial Intelligence Team is looking for a Technology Opportunities Manager who will be responsible for driving execution and strategy for the Lockheed Martin AI Center (LAIC). The selected candidate works across strategy development, opportunity generation and program execution to drive Lockheed Martin to become the leading provider of AI capabilities for defense customers. The selected candidate defines strategic goals for the LAIC in coordination with LAIC leadership and ensures alignment with business area product strategies. The selected candidate shapes R opportunities (CRAD, CRADA, internal/external collaborations) with a focus on customer science and technology organizations, such as DARPA, AFRL or ONR. The candidate will lead responses to selected opportunities including the development of white papers and proposal technical and cost volumes. The selected candidate will be responsible for the successful technical, cost, and schedule execution for captured R programs, ensuring work products are consistent with the AI strategy. The candidate will support additional activities including but not limited to SME support for internal AI technology efforts, development of alternative business models, and external partner management. The TOM ensures R work products advance the technical strategy. The candidate must exhibit self-motivation, a strong work ethic, time management and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to travel 25-30% post-COVID 19 restrictions.The team is based in Shelton, Ct but the selected candidate can work virtual.Must be a US Citizen.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience required with a related Master's degree. • Proven leadership experience in engineering or program management.• Proven experience developing and documenting technical strategy• Proven experience leading virtual teams• Proven experience in the leading CRAD programs• Ability to multi-task• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Must be a US citizenDesired Skills:• Experience with Artificial Intelligence or Data Analytics programs • Experience as a principal investigator for CRAD programs.Experience with Technical Strategy and Business Development• Active DoD security clearance. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
