An opportunity exists to join the Sales and Marketing team to build on our existing customer base in North America by developing new business. The Sales and Marketing team works closely with the Business Operations and Service Delivery teams.

Specifically, the VP of Sales will be responsible for generating new leads from new prospects and managing the entire sales process. A secondary responsibility will be to generate significantly new upside sales from the existing customer base in conjunction with an existing Technical Account Director. The VP of Sales will establish commercial relationships with prospects and be an escalation point and/or commercial contact for existing customers. The VP of Sales will work with the broader sales team to provide commercial support during the sales process as required and provide best practice advice to the company.

The VP of Sales will have experience in the service provider market and maintain good industry-level connections, and value working largely independently.

Key Responsibilities

* Research and build contact plans with companies, most notably but not exclusively, service providers and carriers, in the North American market that wish to provide branded email services based on atmail white labelled email products. Identifying and building key customer relationships across all levels of the prospects organisations;

* Act as the primary commercial communication point between new prospects and atmail;

* Negotiate contracts with the customer on behalf of the company;

* Build intelligence on potential sales in the region, including competitors, market pricing and timescales.

* Ensure appropriate commercial standards are incorporated into the practices of the company;

* Have regular meetings with key customers, with a view to develop commercial opportunities;

* Apply and ensure compliance with appropriate legal frameworks and operational standards;

* Plan and execute a new sales growth strategy for the region;

* Identify potential in-country partners and resellers, with a view to enter into an appropriate contract of partnership;

* Follow up initial sales enquiries from existing or future leads generated for the region;

* Represent Atmail with a view to close sales opportunities;

* Participate in seminars, conferences and industry presentations which are relevant for Atmail and its business in the North American market;

* Keep accurate customer records; and

* Other reasonable duties and responsibilities that the company may require from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

* Recognised formal and relevant college qualifications (Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Business, Bachelor of I.T., etc.);

* 10 years of relevant industry experience in either the technology, telecommunications or service provider industries; and

* It is highly desirable that the candidate has experience in selling messaging server technologies.
