My client is a fast growing existing player in the Set-Top-Box space and from Q1 this year they are launching a new product business unit focused on the IoT / Smart Home & Smart Living market.

My client provides all essential hardware, cloud and mobile components to offer compelling Smart Home services to end-users.

My client is looking for an experienced VP Sales.

The VP Sales is responsible for Service Sales, Revenue, Sales Growth, Cost of Sale and market penetration in Europe and beyond and will report into the Management Board.

The VP Sales Key Responsibilities:
• Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals with products and services
• Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
• Manage strategic customer, build a sales team, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth
• Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions
• Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
• Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
• Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
• Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships at conferences & events
• Define sales strategy and processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
• Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
• Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
• Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives

Requirements of the role:
• Extensive experience in a leading Solution & Services Sales function with revenue, profit and growth responsibility
• Experience to build and manage a multi-territory sales organization and partners
• Strong strategic management and relationship building skills.
• Experience of managing major accounts at executive level.
• Highly self-motivated.
• This is the first IOT / Smart Home specific hire my client is making and whilst the person will be supported by the client's existing sales team they will be tasked with building up the team over time. Initially however they must be hands on themselves with selling. My client is around 100 people so the successful candidate will be able to work in a small company environment.
