JOB DESCRIPTION:
Huawei is a Fortune 500 company mostly delivering telecommunication infrastructure and equipment in the past few decades. Now, the company has re-defined the business scope to be an ICT company, which will deliver solutions for the broad enterprise and consumer market. This has put much higher requirements for the user experience of the products. We are looking for a Staff UX Designer / Designer Lead to join our User Experience team to take Huawei’s product design to a new level.
Responsibilities
Can work independently and mentor an international team of UX designers, to drive the design of a wide range of Huawei products, often involving both hardware and software.
Work closely with product managers, architects, designers, researchers, partners, and other stakeholders to understand and communicate user needs and business requirements; Collaborate with the user research team to create innovative design to conceptualize visions of Huawei product and solutions.
Direct and deliver award-winning innovative designs in the form of sketches, wireframes, storyboards, flows, mockups and demos to effectively communicate design solutions to multiple audiences; The design concept should be part of key competitive attributes in Huawei product solution and contribute to Huawei’s Intellectual property.
Define consistent and compelling product identity across different products series (for example, enterprise product series) based on systematic analysis, implement the brand attributes in key product UX design.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
* A minimum of 8 years of experience creating deliverables such as concept models, page flows, wireframes, mockups or software interface elements for complex web, software, or hardware products.
* A bachelor's degree or equivalent in HCI, Graphic Design, Human Factors or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
* A track record of consistently incorporating a user-centered approach to your design work.
* A demonstrated ability to maintain a current understanding of the user experience field and dedication to fostering this understanding in the design team and organization as a whole.
* Excellent diplomatic and communication skills, including the ability to articulate the business value of good design.
* A proven ability to communicate and collaborate with designers, developers, researchers, editors and stakeholders in geographically dispersed locations.
* A proven ability to mentor designers across different regions to accomplish common project tasks.
* Familiarity with conceptual and detailed design tools, such as Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, CorelDraw, Flash, Premiere, Dreamweaver. Experience with 3D software, such as 3DMax, Maya is a plus.
* Experience applying and defining user interface guidelines and best practices for major platforms is required.
* Design awards is a plus.
* International travel may be required.
