This is a fantastic opportunity for a 3G RAN / RF Network Engineering Professional to join a market leading technology vendor with cutting edge solutions that bring IP and UMTS / GSM RF cellular technologies together. Success and continual demand have generated the need to recruit experienced 3G Radio Network Professionals to join a new dedicated Technical Consultancy team.
Working with Account Managers, the Technical Pre-Sales Consultant will act as the key technical SME Interface into a number of EMEA based Operators, capturing requirements and developing compelling solutions that meet their business and technical needs. The Technical Pre-sales Consultant is responsible for managing the RFI/RFQ process, pulling together resources from R&D, Support and Services teams when required.
To succeed in this position you must be a customer facing or commercially orientated UMTS RAN / RF Network Engineering Professional with a good appreciation of the end to end network, including basic IP related technologies. Experience could have been gained from a Customer Support or Pre-Sales background, alternatively from a commercially orientated role within an Operator. Technology experience could have been gained from;
• RAN Technology infrastructure
• UMTS RF Optimisation / Performance Management
• Indoor Coverage Solutions, DAS, Macrocell, Femtocell, Picocells etc.
• IP Mobile Backhaul
• OSS / NMS / Test & Measurement related technologies, Performance Management, Optimisation/Planning, monitoring tools etc. for the RAN
