Our client is looking for a Sales Director for Germany and the wider DACH region to sell into Telecoms, Media and Technology industry. The role would have a specific focus on selling into Deutsche Telekom / T-Mobile in Germany and related Natco’s in Europe.

The client is a high growth (over 20% every year) Indian business based in Chennai and is part of an organisation of 16,500 people spread across 64+ global locations. Over the years they have won several accolades including being recognised by Deloitte in the Technology Fast 50 India in 2018. The business is over 100 million USD / 2000 people and has their European HQ in Amsterdam (where they acquired a high-end consulting business.

The client has existing accounts such as Liberty Global, Vodafone, and DT / T-Mobile on the Service Provider side and they also work with vendors in the space.

Our client provides insights and thought leadership-led transformation services leveraging next-gen technologies such as RPA (robotic process automation), AI/ML (artificial intelligence/machine learning), SDN-NFV (software-defined networking/network function virtualization) and next-gen OSS / BSS systems.

Director Sales for DACH Region (Telecom) in Germany.

Note: Fluent German proficiency to read, write and speak is Mandatory.

About the Role:
Our client is looking for a Sales Director to join our fast-growing sales team in Europe. They are a global leading consulting and Systems Integration firm solely focused on Telecom, Media and Technology (TMT) industry with unparalleled expertise and global blue-chip Telecom Operators base as our customers. We are looking for a key sales Director for the next level of growth with proven Telecom CSP industry expertise in selling technology solutions.

This role will be a combination of growing and scaling existing accounts in the region along with hunting for new logos for named accounts and prospects in the DACH region.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


Core Skills

Proven experience in growing & scaling, prospecting, closing and managing deals in with CSP's in the DACH region - in particular Germany.
Experience in large account growth and new sales function within a technology services company functioning in a globally distributed delivery model.
Solid background in services sales around OSS/BSS, Digital Transformation and Network Operations area with CTO/CIO/CNO organisations
Experience of selling into Deutsche Telekom / T-Mobile in Germany and related Natco’s in Europe
C suite seller and relationships builder. Independently managing sales portfolio, managing strategic relationships at senior level and ability to generate new business up to 3-5mn USD per annum.
Ten plus years of solutions-oriented selling experience
Excellent oral and written communication, as well as overall presentation skills with gravitas and customer-facing skills.
Self-motivated and maturity to operate independently while working towards key sales metrics
Accurate and timely pipeline forecasting

Secondary Skills

Media sector sales experience
Experience of operating in offshore/onsite delivery model
Experience of pursuing deal ticket sizes in excess of $1M TCV
Sales through partner ecosystem either in the OEM space, with the likes of Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, Cisco etc. or specialist platform/technology vendors
Experience in dealing with advisors and consultancies like Gartner, Everest, Ovum
Ability to contribute towards the creation of new differentiated solutions along with domain specialist teams
Engineering and Masters educational qualification
