We seek an experienced individual to lead our group of Consulting Project Managers in our Communications Business, taking responsibility for the project management of consulting services to the communications market via our Oracle Communications Consulting (OCC) Organisation.

Scope
Direct Line Management of OCC-EMEA Project Managers and Project Revenue Manager
Ownership and responsibility of OCC-EMEA Project Management activities
Reports to the Regional VP for Oracle Communications Consulting EMEA
Acts as a member of the OCC EMEA Consulting Management Team to deliver the overall practice plan for the group
Works with Sales, Development, other Oracle service-lines and selected Partners
Responsibilities
General
Providing leadership for the Project Management Practice by setting direction, shaping the practice, and articulating and exemplifying required behaviours
Defining a plan for the project management practice within the overall OCC EMEA business plan
Managing the practice operationally to meet its targets, as set through the management team
Executing best practice Project Management to execute successful projects, with the right project resources at the right time and right cost
Providing policy guidelines for developing project risk mitigation strategies
Communicating regularly and personally to all practice members
Building effective working relationships with designated partner organisation(s)
Actively seeking opportunities to develop best practice across practice boundaries, and contributing to the development of consulting practices as a whole
Project Management Governance
Enable and promote successful project delivery
Manage projects delivery to budget
Enable and manage scope discipline
Enhancing bid management capabilities
Actively support the sales cycle to close new consulting business
Ensure the latest methodologies are implemented and tailored for best practice delivery of CGBU projects
Project Manager Development
Ensuring that the practice recruits, develops, motivates, appraises, rewards and deploys staff in a manner that meets business priorities

Senior project management coverage and supervision for large complex projects, including project Steering Committees

Prioritize quarterly revenue objectives for all projects
Review managers' forecasts of utilisation, revenue and margin and ensure corrective action is taken
Consolidate financial and utilisation information in order to provide regular and accurate management information
Experience
Extensive experience in best practice project and practice management
Knowledge of the communications industry from a consulting perspective
Must have experience of building and leading consulting teams
Ideally, knowledge of the Oracle Comms footprint and solution stack.
Ideally, experience of working across countries in and have the understanding of different cultures
English speaking
