Our client is one of the worlds largest Telecommunications Billing and CRM vendor with many large (100 million USD+) customer accounts globally. Clients include the likes of AT&T, Vodafone and BT / EE.
The client is looking for an Italian speaker who can be based in Milan to manage a large BSS / Billing domain program that is currently in the region of 50-60 people in size and growing. The person must be able to manage a complex delivery environment given the fast pace, daily change requests, and multi-location delivery teams (covering onsite, nearshore and offshore).
As well as delivering the existing program (where our client is the prime service integrator for the billing area) the client would like someone who can spot opportunities in presales mode that can be suggested to the customer account team. In particular, the client is looking for someone who can establish a Center Of Excellence in Milan to service the Clients needs across their whole operating group in other countries like the UK and Germany.
They would like someone with a technical BSS background so that they understand the high-level architecture of the solutions and can be involved in technology discussions.
Ideally, we are looking someone capable of running programmes of 10 million + Euros.
What will your job look like?
You will have overall accountability and responsibility for all Program Management Office domains: Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Change, HR, Communication, Risk, Procurement and Integration.
You will be responsible for the customer relations, from both technical and commercial angles
You will act as point of contact for all the internal functions in the Customer, including CIO
You will be responsible for the executive management of all ongoing projects and services
You will be supporting new pre-sales, handle contracts and third-party management
You will manage the overall program scope and maintain its continuous alignment with strategic business objectives. Sets the program plan and make recommendations to modify the plan when necessary. Sets priorities, ensures optimization and resolves conflicts to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent.
You will define projects. Assign project managers to initiate and manage the performance of component projects. Integrates and oversees multiple related projects.
You will ensure alignment of all projects under his/her supervision with standards and program management methodology, including compliance with relevant regulations
You will ensure an effective and engaged program team, usually without direct authority, by providing ongoing guidance and mentorship
You will build credible relationships and maintains communication with stakeholders at various levels, both internal and external.
All you need is...
Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management domain, with at least 4 years of managing large projects
Strong program delivery experience
Experience in the Telco domain, with main focus on BSS (CRM and Billing)
Strong functional and technical background (e.g. Architectural view)
B.A/B.Sc. degree, global equivalent or higher
