Our client is selling digital identity solutions that give companies access to Mobile Service provider (MNO) information through an API which is then used to build up fraud scores for transactions. For example, companies would be able to understand location information about a subscribers handset when a transaction is happening (ie is the person roaming for example) - the client refers to this as Subscriber Intelligence.

The client is looking for an International Business Development Manager to open doors with potential Mobile Service Provider partners. Essentially the partners are MNO's that sign a shared revenue contract with my client who then sells the solutions to banks / online retailers to help with Fraud Protection etc.

Description of role:

- Educate Mobile Network Operators globally about the benefits of working with my client and

negotiate new partnership contracts to support the growth and development of data services across multiple territories

- Engage with Mobile Network Operators across Europe and other international

territories briefing them about our client's partnership expertise

- Prioritise territories according to commercial opportunities; market needs and Operator readiness

- Sign up new MNO partnerships and agree contracts so that our client is eligible to sell data services across multiple regions

- Negotiate commercial terms to ensure our client closes at the best market price

- Brief and educate Operators on market requirements and product priorities

- Organise and host educational briefing sessions to ensure cross Operator coverage in each region

- Liaise with Marketing and PR teams to ensure maximum awareness is created via various promotional activities

- Briefing sales team to ensure commercial opportunities are lined up for new territory launches

- Work with Commercial team to brief local partners/ enterprises when territories go live

- Co-ordinate with internal project team to ensure successful partnership onboarding and integration to support launch of live services. Work closely with Pre-Sales tech resource so that MNOs are fully briefed

- Report on progress and provide accurate pipelines to Head of FPS

- Act as primary account owner for Operators ensuring satisfaction with service and commercial development

Knowledge, Skills; Experience

- Knowledge of MNO data services / data insights that can help with digital identity / fraud

protection solutions

- Strong international contacts with Operators – ideally within Europe. Also Operators contacts within APAC / Latin America desirable

- Strong understanding of Mobile Operator businesses especially around data protection; security

- Business development experience with Operators and can demonstrate previous success of negotiating commercial contracts and delivering projects

Problem Solving

- Ability to navigate around an Operator business and instigate conversations with multiple


- Work in an agile and flexible manner, demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude.

- Work with customers identifying their requirements and providing the most appropriate


- Must use initiative to explore various methods in order to resolve issues, problems and blockages without having to refer back to line manager for guidance or support.

Decision Making

- Identifies right contacts within Operators to speak to at decision making level

- Support and inform strategic decisions on the direction of the Fraud Protection

Services sector.

- Judge commercial importance over strategic value and make appropriate decisions, gaining maximum benefit for the business.
