The Systems Engineering team provides detailed end-to-end engineering, simulation, and analysis of wireless and wireline systems as typically defined by the Industry Forums and Network Planning to assist the Network Engineering teams in developing, deploying, and troubleshooting complex systems. Design and develop simulation framework requirements through collaborating/partnering with Systems Engineering team members, internal organizations, and external partners Convert complex and high-priority simulation framework requirements into technical specifications such as high-level design, low-level design, feature descriptions, interface specifications, etc. Create, develop, and leverage software development processes and practices to ensure quality and on-time product releases. Mentor team members with best practices from software development and the wireless communication industry. What we're looking for... You'll need to have:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.Six or more years of relevant work experience.Even better if you have:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.Experience in developing software and deploying large wireless communication products.Experience with 5G NR and LTE.Experience with communication protocols and internals (5G, 4G, LTE, IMS, IP (TCP, UDP, and SCTP), Ethernet (L1-4), RTP).Experience with call flows for 5G, 4G.Experience with relevant 3GPP, ETSI, and GSMA standards.Communication and presentation skills.Ability to facilitate the collaborative resolution of differences with a "win-win" approach.Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities.Experience developing software applications on Linux Operating System.Experience with Programming / Scripting languages (Python, Java, C/C++).Experience with network simulation, diagnostic, troubleshooting and software development tools.Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, XP).An understanding of industry-recognized software development best practices and processes.Ability to adapt daily to changing technical and business environments.Experience with virtualizing software applicationsExperience with designing micro-services for new and existing systemsExperience with deploying micro-services in containers (Docker)Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)Familiarity with multi-threading and virtual machinesExperience with a web-based user interface design and frameworks (node.js, angular, express.js, react.js)Experience with REST API design, development, and frameworks.
