You will be a part of a diverse integrated team that develops specialized mission critical communications products for government, military, and commercial customers. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and evaluating RF, Microwave, and Analog hardware solutions. You will work closely with other senior engineers to evaluate alternative approaches and architectures to satisfy challenging requirements. Design work will begin primarily at the schematic level and then, working closely with CAD designers, develop into layouts and finished assemblies.**Responsibilities** :+ Identify and select components to meet the requirements for RF/Microwave/Analog circuits over all environmental conditions.+ Perform RF simulations using 3D EM tools such as CST Studio Suite.+ Perform linear and non-linear system simulations using Microwave Office or ADS.+ Design circuits at the schematic level and work closely with CAD designers to produce printed circuit board layouts.+ Utilize development boards, breadboards, and custom prototype PCBs to analyze and verify simulations.+ Work closely with team members from the Software, Mechanical, Test, and senior RF Engineering groups to develop and test the deliverable product.+ Analyze data and assist in prototype debug as required.+ Participate in product design reviews.\#rapidsolutions**Here's What You'll Need:****Here's What You'll Need:****Required** :+ Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph+ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.+ 7+ years' experience in RF/Microwave/Analog circuit design for UHF to X-Band frequencies including RF switches, filters, diplexers, low noise amplifiers, power amplifiers and other general RF components.+ Ability to setup and operate RF test equipment such as Signal Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators etc.+ Understanding of key RF parameters (bandwidth, gain compression, intermodulation distortion, noise figure, spurious emissions).+ Ability to read and understand datasheets for RF and Analog components and generate schematics.+ Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.+ Effective organization level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.**Preferred** :+ Experience with RF simulation software programs including one or more of the following: Microwave Office, ADS, HFSS, CST.+ Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer.+ Previous circuit design experience for frequencies above 10GHz.+ Experience in design of power supply circuits using DC-DC converters and linear regulators.+ Knowledge of antenna design and testing.+ Knowledge of modern communication system architectures and modulation techniques.Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
